Buenos Aires, June 19, 2018.- Aerolíneas Argentinas would like to advise its customers that the invitation to enter a giveaway contest that went viral during the last few hours throughout social media and makes unauthorized use of Aerolíneas Argentinas’ image is not part of any commercial initiative of the company.
This practice, known as phishing, consists of a strategy used by companies that sell data basis through fraudulent means by taking over other companies’ corporate image and deceiving lots of people.
Along the same lines, the company informs its customers that the only channels authorized for purchasing air tickets and/or redeeming Aerolíneas Plus miles are its call-center (0810-222-86527), its webpage (www.aerolineas.com.ar) and its branches or authorized travel agencies.
In this regard, Aerolíneas Argentinas continuously reports all publications posted in buy and sell websites or in social media that use Aerolíneas Argentinas’ name to defraud good faith customers who wish to buy air tickets using their credit cards.
