Aerolíneas Argentinas has scheduled a new flight to Beijing that will depart today at noon to bring new doses of the Sinopharm
vaccine. A few hours later, the tenth flight from Moscow will arrive in Argentina, carrying more Sputnik V vaccines.
March 30, 2021 – AerolíneasArgentinas has confirmed the departure of a new flight to Beijing, China. This is the second flight
operated by the company to bring Sinopharm vaccines.
With flight number AR1050, it will depart from Ezeiza at 12:50 p.m. and make a stopover in Madrid. From there, it will depart to its
final destination, the Beijing International Airport. The aircraft will remain there until April 1 at 3:15 a.m. (local time in Beijing) and,
after a stopover at the Barajas Airport, it will be landing at the Ministro Pistarini Airport at 7:10 p.m. on Thursday.
It is worth noting that, approximately 3 hours after the departure of flight AR1050, the tenth flight from Moscow is expected to arrive
with new doses of the Sputnik V vaccine.
“All our work is aimed at contributing to the efforts being made to stop this global pandemic, which is causing considerable damage. Every
flight that arrives saves lives, which is why it is essential to have aviation logistics to deliver a quick response” stated Pablo Ceriani, President
of Aerolíneas Argentinas.
On February 25, the first 904,000 doses of the vaccine manufactured by the Beijing Institute of Biological Products were brought to Argentina
in flight AR1051 operated by the flag carrier.
Since the end of December, Aerolíneas Argentinas has been operating special flights to bring vaccines into the country. Thanks to the nine
flights operated to and from the Russian Federation, 3,669,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine have been brought to Argentina.
So far, the number of vaccines brought into the country in flights operated by the company amounts to 4,577,000.
