More Sputnik V vaccines arrive with the eleventh Aerolíneas Argentinas flight to Moscow

The flight will depart late at night on Wednesday and return on Thursday afternoon with more Sputnik V doses. On that same day, another flight bringing Sinopharm vaccines will be arriving from Beijing.

March 30, 2021- Aerolíneas Argentinas has confirmed the departure of another flight in search of Sputnik V vaccines. It will be the 11th flight operated by the company to the Russian Federation.

Under number AR1068, the flight will depart at 2:00 a.m. from the Ezeiza International Airport, and it is expected to arrive at the Sheremetyevo International Airport on April 1 at 12:30 a.m. (local time in Russia). The aircraft will remain there until 4:30 a.m. for the loading of the vaccines, and will land in Argentina on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

An unprecedented event will take place on Thursday: on the same day, two Aerolíneas Argentinas flights carrying vaccines will arrive in the country from different destinations, since, following the arrival of the Moscow flight, flight AR1051 will be landing from Beijing.

“In just a few days, several interconnected operations were confirmed, which is quite a positive thing, since it means that more people will be protected. We are proud to be part of the logistics chain that makes this possible,” stated Pablo Ceriano, President of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

Since the end of December, Aerolíneas Argentinas has been operating special flights to bring vaccines into the country. Thanks to the ten flights operated to and from the Russian Federation, 3,969,000 doses of the vaccine prepared by the Gamaleya Center were brought to Argentina.
Additionally, up to now, 904,000 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine have arrived in the first Aerolíneas flight to the People’s Republic of China operated on February 25.
So far, the number of vaccines brought to the country with flights operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas totals 4,873,000.
