February 26, 2021 – Aerolíneas Argentinas has confirmed the departure of two flights, today at night, to the city of Moscow in search of the Sputnik V vaccine.

As usual, they were announced by the company’s president, Pablo Ceriani, via his Twitter account.

Following the arrival of 904,000 doses coming from the People’s Republic of China, two of our Airbus 300 depart tonight towards the Sheremetyevo Airport of Moscow, in search of more Sputnik V vaccines. The first departs at 9 p.m. and the second one will follow two hours later.

At @Aerolineas_AR we are still working in this unprecedented logistics operation which is essential to keep fighting against COVID-19. We are very proud to be a part of this task and we thank all areas of government for making it possible.

Under flight numbers AR1060 and 1062 they will make their way directly to Moscow, where they will remain for around 4 hours for stowing and will be arriving at Ezeiza International Airport by noon next Sunday.

We should remember that Aerolíneas Argentinas began flying to Moscow at the end of December. The first two flights brought 600,000 doses of Sputnik into the country, while the third brought 220,000 doses. Lastly, the fourth flight brought 400,000 new doses.

Last night, our first flight from Beijing arrived, carrying  904,000 doses of the vaccine manufactured by Sinopharm laboratory.
