More regional and domestic special flights of Aerolíneas Argentinas

The Argentine flag carrier confirmed new flights to Santiago de Chile, Florianopolis , Comodoro Rivadavia, Esquel, Trelew, Resistencia and Rio Gallegos.

May 7, 2020 – Aerolíneas Argentinas announced today new operations of special flights.

For the regional network, a flight to and from Santiago de Chile was scheduled for May 9. Said flight will allow for Chilean residents to fly on the outbound segment, being able to buy their tickets through the company’s website.

Said modality will be implemented for the flight to and from Florianopolis scheduled for May 10, which will allow for Brazilian citizens to fly on the outbound segment and which will return to the country with 170 Argentine passengers.

A flight took off yesterday to London and today it is the turn of a flight to Rome. Both flights will take citizens to their respective countries of residence and will return to the country with 243 Argentine passengers each. This way, and having confirmed the new flights to Chile and Brazil, the company would have carried 20,000 Argentine passengers back to Argentina through the operation of 66 special flights to international destinations.

“Each flight that returns to our country with Argentine citizens confirms our commitment towards the society in the light of this tough moment. I have the support of our pilots, crew, technicians, mechanics and all ground personnel. Each is making a huge work,” stated Pablo Ceriani, President of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

Besides, the domestic flight network has new flights to and from the province of Chubut: a flight was scheduled for May 10 to and from Comodoro Rivadavia and on May 12 there will be a flight with Esquel and another one with Trelew.

Three flights were confirmed for May 8, 15 and 22 between Buenos Aires and Resistencia. Accordingly, two new flights to Rio Gallegos were scheduled for May 11 and 13.

In the case of domestic flights, they are the result of the joint work with provincial governments, which have to first request those flights and obtain the approval of the aviation authorities.

The company has requested all of its passengers to comply with the health protocols and to wear a surgical mask or a face mask mandatorily at all times upon arrival at the airport.

Lastly, the seventh flight to Shanghai, China,  departed yesterday night to bring crucial medical supplies to the country in our fight and prevention against the COVID-19. It should further be noted that said flight also carried Chinese citizens back to their country.
