You can start your tour along the Avenida de Mayo, in the direction of Plaza de Mayo, passing in front of an icon of Buenos Aires like the Palacio Barolo. A few meters from there, you can have a drink in the oldest cafe in the City, the Café Tortoni, just as García Lorca and Cortázar did. Next door is the National Academy of Tango and the World Museum of Tango. A few meters away, you can see the Plaza de Mayo, the scene of multiple historical events such as the founding of the City and the formation of the first national government, among others. The best 360º view is from the Pirámide de Mayo, located in the center: to one side is the Cabildo Nacional, and a few meters away is the Metropolitan Cathedral, very close to the Banco Nación, and the unmistakable Casa Rosada.
If you come to the city, you can't miss out on taking panoramic photos from many of the tall buildings, for your collection. Many emblematic buildings offer the possibility of taking beautiful selfies in different neighborhoods, such as the Palacio Barolo (av. de Mayo), the Torre Monumental (Plaza San Martín), the Retiro Station and the Güemes Gallery (Diagonal Norte).
