These new flights will be operated to Guangzhou via Madrid and will return via Auckland, thus completing a trip around the world to obtain health supplies. The first of these flights will be departing from Ezeiza tonight.

November 2, 2020 – Aerolíneas Argentinas has confirmed 6 flights to Guangzhou, China, with the purpose of bringing medical supplies requested by the Argentine Ministry of Health to fight COVID-19.

The flights will be departing from Ezeiza International Airport on November 2, 5, 9, 12, 16 and 20 at 11.55 p.m.

This operation will allow for an average of 24 tons of medical supplies to reach the country on each of the 6 flights that the company has scheduled for November. These flights will be performed with A330 aircraft specially reconditioned as cargo aircraft for the operation with the “Asian giant”.

These flights will be in addition to the 35 flights that Aerolíneas Argentinas operated to Shanghai between April and July and that allowed for 887 tons of critical medical supplies and materials to reach the country.

This time, each of the flights will be operated to Guangzhou via Madrid and will return via Auckland, unlike those operated to Shanghai, which had a stopover in said New Zealand city in both their inbound and outbound segments.

It is worth highlighting that, in addition to the special flights to China, the Company has announced the gradual resumption of its regular operation and has scheduled over 650 flights, including domestic, regional and international flights.
