Abbott Reynal, Manager of Aerolíneas Argentinas, returns to the private sector

The General Manager of Aerolíneas Argentinas, Abbott Reynal, will leave  the company at the end of September to return to the private activity.

Reynal was the financial chief of Aerolíneas from February 2017 to the end of said year, when he took the general management of the company. The officer had joined the state management in March 2016, when he became the Inter-ministerial Coordination Secretary of the State Chief Department.

“Thanks to Mr. Abbott for all the effort and time devoted to Aerolíneas Argentinas -said Luis Malvido, President of the company-. During its management, the company  implemented a cost reduction which made it possible to cut subsidies from the State by 50%. Operation improvements were also achieved and this led to hit a record in terms of punctuality”.

Reynal came from the private sector. He worked at the Holland bank Rabobank for 9 years,  where he occupied positions in Chile and the USA. Before that, he had worfed in Boston Consulting Group and Merrill Lynch.

The general management of the company will be taken over by its President, Mr. Luis Malvido.
