At 9 p.m., President Alberto Fernández and his retinue will be departing in Aerolíneas Argentinas flight AR1090 for their tour around Europe.

May 8, 2021 – Tonight at 9 p.m., President Alberto Fernández and his retinue will be departing in Aerolíneas Argentinas flight AR1090 for their tour around Europe.

The flight will depart towards Lisbon and arrive on Sunday at 12:05 p.m. (local time in Argentina) at Humberto Delgado Airport. That same day, the Argentine President will meet his Portuguese counterpart, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

The following day, in the afternoon, Aerolíneas Argentinas’ Airbus 330-200 will depart towards Barajas International Airport, where it is scheduled to land at 1:40 p.m. (local time in Argentina). There, the retinue will meet King Felipe VI and then will visit the Moncloa Palace to meet with the President of Spain, Pedro Sánchez.

On Tuesday, May 11, the flight will continue its journey towards Charles de Gaulle Airport in the City of Paris, where it is scheduled to arrive at 1:15 p.m. (local time in Argentina). In the French Capital City, Fernández will first meet businessmen in the Argentine Embassy during the morning and will then be welcomed by Emmanuel Macron.

The tour will continue on Wednesday with the plane’s arrival at Fiumicino Airport scheduled for 3 p.m. (local time in Argentina). On Thursday morning, the President will visit Pope Francis; at noon, he will attend a work lunch with Sergio Matarella, President of Italy.

Lastly, the Aerolíneas Argentinas aircraft will set out on its return journey on Friday, May 14, and will arrive at Ezeiza International Airport that same day at 10:25 p.m.

Once again, the Argentine President will undertake his official trips with the Argentine flag carrier, as he did during his first tour around Europe in February 2020.
