Aerolíneas Argentinas: 1 million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine will arrive on Thursday
Following the arrival of the last two flights on Sunday and Monday, the company has confirmed a new flight in search
of more doses of the Sinopharm vaccine.
April 27, 2021 – Aerolíneas Argentinas has confirmed the departure of a new flight to Beijing, China, in search of 1 million
doses of the vaccine manufactured by China National Pharmaceutical Group Corp.
With flight number AR1050, the flight, which is scheduled to depart today at 12:50 p.m., will make a stopover in Madrid
and arrive at the Ezeiza International Airport next Thursday at 7:10 p.m.
“We are working at a good pace, with several weekly arrivals. As the Argentine flag carrier, we are filled with pride with
this work, since it enables the Argentine Government to move forward with the vaccination plan,” explained Pablo Ceriani,
President of Aerolíneas Argentinas.
This is the fifth flight to Beijing, following the arrivals on Sunday and Monday. Said flights carried 755,200 doses of the
Sinopharm vaccine, which are added to the 1,904,000 doses carried by the company in two prior flights. Thus, a total of
2,659,200 vaccines arrived in Argentina.
Apart from those five flights to Beijing, the Company has operated 12 flights to Moscow, which brought 5,267,745 doses
of the Sputnik V vaccine to the country.
