International Women’s Day Celebrated on Aerolíneas Argentinas’ Aircraft

08/03/2021

March 8, 2021 – Today, on INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY, our aircraft will fly around the country with specially designed headers bearing

the slogan “WOMEN MOVE AND CONNECT THE WORLD.” This is the flag carrier’s way to help draw attention, throughout the country, to its

commitment towards equality and the recognition of women’s rights. In March 2020, the company created the Gender and Diversity Office, in

which staff of all areas take part. The Office is made up of four working groups, dedicated to Women, Diversity, Violence, and Disability. These

are spaces that allow us to plan actions to foster equity, equal opportunities, the fight against gender-based violence, and women’s rights in

Aerolíneas Argentinas. These are some of the numbers we reached through gender policies developed during the last year: 23% is the percentage

of women in Aerolíneas Argentinas’ management team. It is the highest number recorded in the history of the company. 21 initiatives and virtual

talks were carried out last year, focused on gender, diversity, and inclusion. More than 1,000 members of our company took part in these activities.

263 people signed up to be part of the working groups of the company’s Gender and Diversity Office; 64% take part in the Women Group and 58%

take part in the Violence Group. These are spaces that allow us to plan actions to foster equity, equal opportunities, the fight against gender-based

violence and women’s rights in Aerolíneas Argentinas. As part of this celebration, we would like to highlight the actions we have been taking, such

as the amendment to the positions and profiles manual through the lens of gender sensitivity, in order to promote a more egalitarian perspective;

the Adherence to the 7 Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEP) by UN Women; and the training of our highest authorities according to the provisions

of the “Micaela” Law. During the next few days, Pablo Ceriani, the president of the company, together with Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta, the Minister of

Women, Gender and Diversity, will sign a series of agreements by means of which Aerolíneas Argentinas will offer its logistics capabilities to protect

women who are victims of gender-based violence.
