10/02/2021

February 10, 2021 – Aerolíneas Argentinas has confirmed the departure of flight AR1064 to the City of Moscow,

to bring a new batch of Sputnik V vaccines to the country.

Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolíneas Argentinas, made the announcement via a Twitter thread:

“We want to confirm that tonight at 11 p.m., flight AR1064 operated by @Aerolineas_AR will be departing to Russia to bring

another batch of Sputnik V vaccines. This will be the fourth flight in this series of important operations to fight COVID-19.

The Buenos Aires – Moscow route is the longest nonstop route we have flown so far. This operation demands a considerable

logistics effort in coordination with parties from both countries. All of our energy is focused on carrying out this task."}

The flight will arrive at the Ezeiza International Airport as flight AR1065 next Friday early in the afternoon. In total, the operation

will take 40 hours, taking into account the 16-hour flight to the Sheremetyevo Airport, the loading time and the almost 18-hour return

trip from Moscow to Buenos Aires.

It is worth nothing that Aerolíneas Argentinas has already operated three flights to Moscow to bring batches of the Sputnik V vaccine.
