Aerolíneas Argentinas’ Flights: Less Restrictions

22/03/2018

Buenos Aires, March 22, 2018.- Aerolíneas Argentinas is waiting for the aircraft that are still grounded to soon recover after the hail storm of last Wednesday. The company expects to normalize its flights for next weekend to be able to comply with all of the Holy Week schedule.  Meanwhile, scheduled flights will suffer some minor restrictions, although less than in previous days.

Of the 15 aircraft damaged by the hail and grounded for repair and overhaul, 4 have already resumed flights, other 4 would return to operations tomorrow and some others would be cleared on Saturday, according to the shop tasks scheduled by the company. Thus, by the weekend the situation would be normalized.

This made the sale of tickets to suffer less restrictions: only the sale of tickets for tomorrow is restricted, for domestic flights. The rest of the flights are fully available.

This situation makes the company more able now to face the demand of the Holy Week, for which 286,000 tickets were sold, hitting a record, i.e. 20% more than in 2016.

But due to the still existing restrictions, the company needs to announce that tomorrow, Friday March 23, 16 flights will be cancelled, and 8 will be rescheduled. 90% of the passengers affected by the cancelled flights have already been relocated in other flights.

Aerolíneas wants to apologize again to its passengers for any inconvenience that this may have caused and asks to please be on the alert through their phone numbers and email contacts informed when the tickets were bought, since Aerolíneas will inform any news regarding its flights through these means. In case of doubt, passengers may also contact the company at 0810-222-86527.
