Additionally, training courses on health, hygiene and safety will be offered to the airline staff.

February 4, 2020 –  Today, Aerolíneas Argentinas and the Argentine Red Cross signed an agreement for the transport of humanitarian aid

and the training of airline staff.

The agreement was executed by Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolíneas Argentinas, and Diego Tipping, president of the Argentine Red Cross.

The agreement provides for the possibility that Aerolíneas may transport humanitarian aid, donations and supplies of the Argentine Red Cross to the

destinations served by the company.

In addition, the humanitarian organization will train the Aerolíneas Argentinas staff on health, hygiene and safety matters and provide information and

assistance to passengers.

Lastly, if necessary, the Argentine Red Cross will make First Aid teams, specialists and psychosocial support teams available.

The execution of this agreement constitutes the formalization of the combined efforts that the company and the organization have already been making:

during 2020, Aerolíneas delivered a series of donations to the Argentine Red Cross, which were used to set up the Health Assistance Center at Tecnópolis.

Moreover, due to the cancellation of flights for health reasons, Aerolíneas Argentinas gave to the organization different supplies and consumable

products with expiration dates, to be distributed among people from vulnerable population groups.

“This is a very important agreement because it allows us to formalize a relationship that was developed further with the combined efforts made during

the pandemic and which will enable us to create spaces of mutual cooperation for such essential topics as health and humanitarian aid”, declared Pablo

Ceriani, President of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

“The execution of this agreement represents a step further into a strategic alliance that has increased the Argentine Red Cross’ capacity to reach every

corner of the country with their humanitarian aid”, stated Diego Tipping, president of the Argentine Red Cross.

It is also worth noting that, during 2020, Aerolíneas Argentinas operated 42 special flights to the People’s Republic of China to bring medical supplies to

fight COVID-19. Some of these materials were acquired by the Argentine Red Cross, including over half a million face masks, thermometers and other

medical supplies.
