Aerolíneas adds special flights to Rome, Cancun and Madrid

May 14, 2020 – Aerolíneas Argentinas has confirmed 4 new special flights to Rome, Cancun and Madrid.

The first of these flights is scheduled to depart to Rome on May 14, carrying more than 100 Italian citizens on the outbound segment and returning to the country with over 250 Argentine citizens.

On May 20, a new flight from Cancun will be operated, carrying another 250 stranded Argentine citizens back to our country.

The Company has also confirmed 2 new flights to Madrid scheduled to depart on May 23 and 26, both carrying Spanish citizens stranded in Argentina on the outbound segment. These flights will return to the country with some 500 Argentine citizens stranded in Europe.

Since March 18, when scheduled international operations were suspended, Aerolíneas Argentinas has operated a total of 80 special flights, bringing close to 22,000 Argentine citizens back to our country.

The company has requested all of its passengers to comply with the health protocols in place and to wear a mandatory surgical mask or a face mask at all times upon arrival at the airport.

It is worth mentioning that yesterday the Argentine flag carrier also announced new flights to Shanghai, China, to bring medical supplies to the country to aid in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. So far, the company has operated 10 of the 17 scheduled flights, and nearly 140 tons of materials have been brought to the country.
