Aerolíneas Argentinas to offer nearly 3 million seats this summer to fly to tourist destinations

Domestic flights will offer more seats available for summer routes compared with the previous season. For instance, 13% more seats to travel between Tucumán and Mar del Plata, 14% more seats between Mendoza and Mar del Plata, 23% more seats between Buenos Aires and Calafate, 31% more seats between Córdoba and El Calafate, and 25% more seats between Ushuaia and Buenos Aires. As regards regional destinations, it is worth mentioning Punta Cana’s increase in frequencies,  from 4 to 7 weekly flights (6 from Buenos Aires and one from Córdoba). For international flights, there will be an increase in frequencies, from 7 to 10 flights to Madrid (compared with June 2018).

October 2, 2018.- During a conference held within the framework of the International Tourism Fair taking place in Buenos Aires, Aerolíneas Argentinas’ Commercial Director, Máximo Amadeo, released the company’s broad offer for the summer season. This offer includes nearly 3 million seats allocated to different beach vacation destinations, Patagonia, and the Northeastern and Northwestern regions of Argentina. In some cases, the seat offer increased 100% with respect to the previous season.

Beach destinations will be connected as follows:

This summer, Mar del Plata, one of the most visited cities, will have a broad offer of flights from different points in the country. The points of origin that experience a greater increase are:

- Buenos Aires: 16% increase, with 35 weekly flights.

- Mendoza: 14% increase, with 5 weekly flights.

- Tucumán: 13% increase, with 6 weekly flights.

Other beach destinations abroad will offer the following flights:

- Punta del Este (from Buenos Aires): 6% more seats, with 33 weekly flights.

- Punta del Este (from Rosario): 48% more seats, with 2 weekly flights.

- Rio de Janeiro (from Buenos Aires): 17% more seats, with 40 weekly flights.

- Rio de Janeiro (from Rosario): 6% more seats, with 5 weekly flights.

- Rio de Janeiro (from Córdoba): 100% more seats, with 4 weekly flights.

- Florianopolis (from Buenos Aires): 7% more seats, with 18 weekly flights.

- Florianopolis (from Rosario): 6% more seats, with 2 weekly flights.

- Florianopolis (from Córdoba): 100% more seats, with 5 weekly flights.

- Punta Cana: 12% more seats, with 7 weekly flights (6 from Buenos Aires and 1 from Córdoba)

The Southern part of the country will be connected through its main destinations:

- El Calafate (from Buenos Aires): 23% more seats, with 34 weekly flights.

- El Calafate (from Córdoba): 31% more seats, with 4 weekly flights.

- Ushuaia (from Buenos Aires): 25% more seats, with 41 weekly flights.

- Esquel (from Buenos Aires): 17% more seats, with 7 weekly flights.

- Bariloche (from Buenos Aires): same seat offer, with 51 weekly flights.

- Bariloche (from Rosario): 27% more seats, with 5 weekly flights.

On the other hand, the Northeastern and Northwestern areas of Argentina will offer the following flights:

- Iguazú (from Rosario): 3% more seats, with 4 weekly flights.

- Iguazú (from Córdoba): same seat offer, with 7 weekly flights.

- Salta (from Buenos Aires): 4% more seats, with 42 weekly flights.

- Santiago del Estero (from Buenos Aires): 6% more seats, with 12 weekly flights.

- La Rioja (from Buenos Aires): 13% more seats, with 7 weekly flights.

Thanks to this diverse and comprehensive offer, Aerolíneas Argentinas consolidates as the best alternative to carry passengers in the summer holidays.
