Account holders over eighteen (18) years of age:

They may designate up to 10 beneficiaries through self-management. The beneficiaries may or may not have a family relationship with the account holder. The account holder must enter personally and directly (intermediaries or representatives are not accepted) to our website www.aerolineas.com.ar / My Account Plus / Beneficiaries / Add a new beneficiary.

The account holder must enter the personal data of each beneficiary, as they appear on their ID. For Argentines, residents and non-residents in Argentina and for foreigners residing in Argentina, a DNI is required. For foreigners not resident in Argentina, a Passport is required. The account holder assumes responsibility for the accuracy of the data entered.

For rectification of documents and/or any other modification of the data entered, the account holder must self-manage the cancellation of the beneficiary by going to www.aerolineas.com.ar / Mi Cuenta Plus / Beneficiarios / Cancel a beneficiary and then return it upload correctly by clicking on Add a new beneficiary.

Account holders under eighteen (18) years of age:

Those under 18 years of age will not be able to designate beneficiary(ies) through the self-management tool. Parents or guardians are the ones who manage the minor's account, they must send by WhatsApp (+54 9 11 4940-4798) from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. a note or the model form indicated on this page, mentioning:

- Surname, Name, Document Number (for Argentine residents and non-residents in Argentina and for foreign residents in Argentina) or Passport (for foreigners not resident in Argentina) and Date of Birth of the beneficiary.

- Existing link between each beneficiary with the account holder.

- Signature, Clarification, Identity Document and Membership Number of the holder.

- Copy of the Identity Document of the account holder and of the parents or guardians. In the event of the death of one of the parents or guardians, a scanned copy of the corresponding death certificate must also be attached.

aid fee only applies to tickets issued through Redemption of Miles via the Contact Center (by telephone or WhatsApp) or our sales offices.

Tickets issued through the website are exempted from said fee.

The applicable fees are as follows:

Domestic flights: ARS 1,000 + 21% VAT
Flights to South America: USD 25 + 21% VAT
Flights to Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico, United States and Europe

 

Important! Bookings for minors may only be requested via the Contact Center or our sales offices, by paying the relevant fee.

Tickets issued in PROMOTIONAL class or in combination with PROMOTIONAL classissued as from May 2, 2022, MAY NOT BE REFUNDED. They may only be CHANGED subject to the payment of a penalty. The applicable charges are detailed in the chart.

Both transactions must be carried out before the departure of the flight by contacting the Contact Center (WhatsApp: +54 9 11 4940-4798 / option 4 - Aerolíneas Plus) or at the sales offices of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

If you wish to request the refund of an award ticket (only for tickets issued until May 1, 2022), the issuance fee (Aerolíneas Plus Fee) duly paid will not be reimbursed.

 

 

The availability and extent of seats for tickets purchased through Redemption of Miles will vary according to route, season, class, cabin capacity and occupancy expectations. Therefore, bear in mind that award seats are limited.

Availability will be shown when the route is requested, and, if any, shall be confirmed with the issuance of the ticket.

Available seats: 750,000 per year in all award classes, distributed among all flights and routes established by Aerolíneas Argentinas during the validity of the Program.

If one decides not to use an award ticket, refunding it is an option (exception: tickets issued on/after May 2, 2022 in Promotional Class or in combination with another class, refunds are not permitted).
Award tickets issued on/before May 1, 2022 in Promotional Class or in combination with another class are subject to a penalty. The penalty amounts can be found https://www.aerolineas.com.ar/en-ar/aerolineas_plus/important_information

A refund entails the total reimbursement of both the miles and the rates and taxes duly paid.

If you have paid an issuance fee, it shall not be reimbursed (this fee only applies to tickets issued via phone, via WhatsApp or at our sales offices).

All the miles earned will expire when there has been no flight activity in the account within 3 years after the last time miles were earned for paid flights taken, for award tickets issued or for tickets upgraded in exchange for miles.

“Flight activity” means a ticket issued in exchange for miles or a ticket upgraded in exchange for miles (both transactions processed before the expiration date), or the earning of miles for tickets purchased at valid fares for flights operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas and the SkyTeam member airlines with a flight date before the date of expiration.

When 3 years have elapsed without any flight activity, the balance of the account shall automatically revert to zero.

If you experience this situation, you will have two options:

1) You can purchase a flight ticket at a valid fare before the expiration date and earn miles for said trip. By doing so, the expiration date of the total number of miles will be extended for 3 years.

2) You can have a ticket issued in exchange for miles for yourself or for a beneficiary of your Plus Account, or have a ticket upgraded in exchange for miles before the expiration date (this ticket may be used to travel within the following 11 months). If, when making this exchange, the total number of miles is not used, the remaining miles shall remain valid for the abovementioned 3-year term.

NEITHER the monthly accrual of miles from banks, related companies or associated airlines NOR the purchase and transfer of miles shall extend the expiration date of the accrued balance.

A refund cannot be given for award tickets issued to extend the expiration date of miles accrued. If a refund is requested, the 3-year extension obtained will be revoked, and the passenger will be banned from participating in the Program in the future.

 

The following tickets earn miles:

- Promotional fare Class G tickets issued for domestic routes as from September 3, 2019.

The following tickets don’t earn Miles:

- Promotional Fare Class A and R tickets issued for domestic routes from May 3, 2021

- Promotional fare Class G tickets issued for domestic routes from February 6, 2019 to September 2, 2019.

- Promotional fare Class G tickets issued for flights to/from Bogota and Punta Cana as from January 29, 2019.

- Promotional fare Class G tickets issued for flights to/from Cancun as from February 11, 2019.

- Promotional fare Class G tickets issued for regional routes (Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay) and to/from Peru as from February 11, 2019.

- Promotional fare Class G tickets issued for international routes (Miami, New York, Madrid and Rome) as from February 18, 2019.

- Tickets purchased in exchange for Miles.

- Tickets purchased in exchange for Miles + Pesos.

- Free tickets or tickets issued at a discount, such as charter fares, tourism industry fares, governmental fares, and other special fares that may be available.

New deals:

All Business tickets (Classes C, D, I and J) purchased and issued as from February 1, 2020 for flights to Cancun, Miami, New York, Madrid and Rome (round trip) earn 200% miles, according to the actual distance flown between the city of origin and the city of destination*
(*) This percentage replaces the 300% applicable to flights taken from April 17, 2019 and issued until January 31, 2020 under the abovementioned conditions.

 

- Award tickets may be acquired for flights operated by any associated airline.

- The destinations and the miles needed to purchase a ticket may vary due to changes to the flights operated by the relevant airlines.

- These tickets shall be valid for one year as from their issuance date.

- Award tickets to fly with airlines belonging to the SkyTeam Alliance are available for one-way or round-trip flights to the same region, with up to 2 immediate connecting flights per each requested place of origin and destination.

- Miles shall be deducted for each flight within the trip. For example, if you travel from Madrid to Copenhagen, and the flights to reach that destination are Madrid-Paris- Amsterdam-Copenhagen, the miles corresponding to the Madrid-Paris, Paris-Amsterdam and Amsterdam-Copenhagen flights will be deducted.

- The booking and issuance of tickets through redemption of miles via the Aerolíneas Argentinas website / My Plus Account shall only be available for the following airlines belonging to the SkyTeam Alliance: Aeroflot, Aeromexico, Air Europa, Air France, China Airlines, China Eastern, KLM, Korean Air, Czech Airlines, Garuda, Middle East Airlines, Saudia, Tarom, Vietnam Airlines and Xiamen Airlines.

- Flight tickets booked and issued within 24 hours before the departure of the flight (subject to availability of each airline) and award tickets for unaccompanied minors may not be booked and issued through the website. They may only be issued at an Aerolíneas Argentinas S.A. sales office.

- In such cases, the Aerolíneas Argentinas sales offices shall charge an issuance fee of USD 40 + IVA.

- The booking and the redemption of miles are simultaneous. Bookings with an expiration date are not allowed.

- The services provided by the associated airlines are not available in all countries within the regions posted.

- Taxes, airport fees and other charges applicable to the award shall be borne by the passenger and paid when the ticket is issued.

- The number of award tickets is limited, and they may not be available for all flights. The benefits of the associated airlines are subject to changes, and restrictions may apply.

- All rules posted in the General Conditions of the Program shall apply. Check the CONDITIONS OF USE.

 

 

Baggage Allowance includes everything that passengers are authorized to carry free of charge according to the purchased fare. It includes anything you dispatch as checked baggage and anything you take with you in the cabin as carry-on baggage.

CARRY-ON BAGGAGE

For your own comfort and safety on board, carry-on baggage must comply with the following size and weight restrictions:

Maximum Size
55 cm long, 35 cm wide and 25 cm tall. Baggage may not exceed 115 cm in combined length, width and height, including any wheels, handles and side pockets.

Maximum Weight
Domestic flights in Coach class (P and X): 1 piece of 8 kg.

Domestic flights in Premium Economy class (Z): 1 piece of 8 kg.

Regional/International flights in any class (P, X, Z and O): 1 piece of 10 kg.

Personal Item
You may carry one personal item that should not exceed 3 kg or 40 cm x 30 cm x 15 cm and must fit under the seat in front of you (except for emergency exit seats and seats in the first row), such as a handbag/purse, a backpack, a briefcase or a laptop computer case, in addition to a coat, an umbrella or a cane.

Minors
They are entitled to the same baggage allowance as adult passengers.

Infants
They are not entitled to baggage allowance. They may only carry a stroller/baby walker or a folding lightweight stroller in the hold free of charge.

Infants

Size
Baggage may not exceed 158 cm in combined length, width and height. The two pieces of baggage combined may not exceed 273 cm.

Regional / International

In the case of tickets issued under the same number which are combined with a Domestic flight, the baggage allowance of the Regional/International flight will apply throughout the route.

In the case of tickets issued under the same number which are combined with a regional / international flight, the baggage allowance of the latter will apply throughout the route.

In the case of flights operated by another carrier, please contact said carrier to check the applicable allowance.

Infants
Infants that do not occupy a seat may carry one checked bag of 10 kg the size of which should not exceed 115 linear cm. In addition, they may carry one fully folding chair/stroller or an infant car seat in the hold free of charge.

Elite / Elite Plus Members
Aerolíneas Plus Platinum / Gold members and SkyTeam Elite / Elite Plus members: 1 piece of additional baggage of the same weight as the one applicable according to the ticket class.

 

The ITA Airways company participates in our Frequent Flyer Program through codeshare flights.

Only domestic flights are covered by this codeshare agreement: connecting flights in Rome to/from Bari, Brindisi, Bologna, Catania, Florence, Genoa, Lamezia Terme, Naples, Palermo, Reggio di Calabria, Trieste, Turin, Venice and Verona.

Aerolíneas Plus members can credit miles only for flights that are marketed by Aerolíneas Argentinas (the ticket begins with 044) and operated by ITA Airways.

Miles earned may be used for flights operated by any of the airlines participating in the Program, but they may not be used to extend the expiration date of accumulated miles nor to access or renew your Elite/Elite Plus Membership category.
