We work hard so that more children may enjoy the experience of traveling on their own. This is why we offer the “Unaccompanied Minor Service.” This service consists of the minor/teenager being chaperoned by company staff throughout all the stages of the trip, from the check-in counter to the boarding gate, during the entire flight and at the destination airport.

Conditions

 

• This service is mandatory for minors between 5 and 11 years old.
• This service is optional for teenagers between 12 and 15 years old.
• The Unaccompanied Minor Service is available only for nonstop flights or connecting flights lasting up to 5 hours and operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas.

Minors/teenagers may travel alone, provided they do not have any contraindication to air travel and are able to do the following:

1. Understand the safety instructions provided by the flight crew.
2. Secure their oxygen mask and fasten their seatbelt.
3. Evacuate on their own in case of emergency.

Minors/teenagers that do not meet one or more of these requirements must travel accompanied by an adult.

Booking

• This service must be booked at least 72 hours before the departure time of the flight, by calling our Call Center at 0810 222 86527 or at any Sales Office. Confirmation shall be subject to availability in the selected flight.
• Download the form and fill it out (BUT do not sign it, as this must be done at the check-in counter).
• Print 4 (four) copies.

Airport

• Make sure you have the necessary documentation according to the minor’s destination. Submit the form you have filled out and printed; you must sign it at the check-in counter.
• Show up at the airport on time and stay at the airport until our staff confirms that the minor’s flight has departed.
• Make sure that the person responsible for the minor is waiting for them at the destination airport with a valid form of identification. Our team will check that said person is the one that was detailed in the form at the airport of origin.
• Minors must be able to carry their own carry-on baggage, know about the different stages of the flight, and identify the uniform of the staff who will accompany them throughout the whole process.

The Unaccompanied Minor Service is not available in the following cases:

• Connecting flights with overnight layovers.
• Connecting flights with connections between the Aeroparque and Ezeiza Airports in Buenos Aires (AEP/EZE).
• Minors traveling with pets carried either in the cabin or in the hold.
• Minors traveling with Child Restraint Systems (CRS) onboard.
• Minors with a medical condition that requires the involvement of the Medical Department of the Company.

Please note:

1. The prices stated in the chart are final and include the taxes of each country.
2. South American flights include the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Colombia, and Peru.
3. The service charge is refundable, irrespective of the conditions of the applied fare.
4. The charge also applies to award tickets under the Aerolíneas Plus Program.
