The company currently operates 82 aircraft

It is a new 737-800, which will enable to meet the increasing demand of passengers and maintain leadership in punctuality and services offered.

Buenos Aires, July 31, 2017.- Aerolineas Argentinas incorporated a new 737-800 as part of its fleet renewal plan. Thus, the company now has 42 Boeing aircraft in versions 700 and 800, to operate domestic and regional flights.

The brand new aircraft arrived at Ezeiza directly from the Boeing factory in Seattle, USA. The new airplane had its first flight on July 26, when completing the Aeroparque-Comodoro Rivadavia-Aeroparque route.

The new 737-800, registered LV-GVA, with a seating configuration of 170 seats -8 in Club Economy and 162 in Economy class- will allow to meet the increasing offer of services resulting from the increase in its flight frequencies and the sum of new destinations, such as the federal corridors and the recently inaugurated hub in the city of Córdoba.

The Minister of Transport of the Nation, Guillermo Dietrich, commented: "Aerolíneas continues to grow. Last Monday it reached an historical record number of passengers flying. Now we add a new plane that means more capacity and more quality so that the Argentines continue to choose us. We continue to consolidate our Aerolíneas to be a leader in domestic flights and protagonist of the Aircraft Revolution. "

"These new aircraft enable us to gradually renew our fleet, which is already down from an average age of 8 years, in line with the industry's highest standards worldwide", said Mario Dell'Acqua, president of the Aerolineas Group. "The new airplanes require less maintenance time, and it is a fundamental pillar to maintain the leadership in punctuality, in both domestic flights and regional flights", he added.

Under its fleet renewal and expansion plan, Aerolíneas will begin to receive the new Boeing 737 MAX 8 in the months of November and December. In this way, the flag airline will be the first in Latin America to fly the MAX model, a much more modern and efficient state-of-the-art aircraft, which will offer a better service to passengers.
