The new frequency contributes to strengthen the network and consolidate the connectivity, to link Rosario with the rest of the country
Rosario, June 29, 2017.- Aerolíneas Argentinas today announced a new flight to link Rosario with Ushuaia, whose inaugural service will take place next Saturday, July 1, constituting a further step in the company's plan to improve the offer of connections from this city to the rest of the country.
The new frequency, which will be operated with Embraer 190 aircraft during the months of July and August, will depart Rosario on Saturdays at 8:20 and arrive in Ushuaia at 12:25. Meanwhile, the flight will depart back at 13:40, arriving in Rosario at 17:35. In this way, the people from Rosario will be closer to snow to enjoy the winter season.
Rosario’s connectivity grew solidly in 2017 thanks to the addition of new destinations that the Aerolíneas Group operates directly, without passing through Buenos Aires. This is how the company offers 16% more seats for flights to and from Rosario, compared to 2016.
Taking into account only the trunk route Buenos Aires - Rosario - Buenos Aires, the increase in the offer of seats was 51% compared to 2016, with 215,732 additional seats. For Rosario's connectivity with the rest of the country, Aerolíneas Argentinas and Austral will offer in total 453,436 more seats than last year.
"We are putting more focus on boosting the offer of flights for this destination: Rosarinos (people from Rosario) have direct flights to some of the most important cities in the country, either because of their importance in corporate traffic or because they are key tourist attractions; this is the case of Mendoza, Salta, Bariloche, Cordoba, Iguazú and Calafate. It is with enthusiasm that we see the response of the Rosarinos who choose Aerolíneas at the time of traveling because they know we offer more and better options," said Diego Garcia, Aerolíneas Group Sales Manager, who made the announcements in the city of Rosario along with local authorities.
In addition, the company has been working with dedication since April so that Rosario’s passengers have convenient and quick connections in Ezeiza for international flights.
Moreover, the company highlighted its high punctuality rates in the January-May period, which place it as one of the leading companies in the region, with 88% of flights on schedule, surpassing its own mark by 2 percentage points compared to last year.
