Answering to the needs of its passengers, Aerolíneas Argentinas will permit onwards to travel with their pets on cabin.
This service shall be granted exclusively in domestic segments and only for cats and dogs.

The booking and sale of the Service of Pets on Cabin (PETC) will be possible from January, 1st, 2015 only through the Call Center and it will have to be required seventy-two (72) hours in advance.
Said service shall not be free and the fares to be applied will be per segment, and their value will depend on the destination of the trip.

The transfer of pets on cabin will have to fulfill some requirements, for example, that the puppies will have to be born more than 45 days before the trip and their maximum accepted weight would be nine (9) kilos. It is also necessary to have a health certificate, issued by a dully certified veterinarian to be updated as regards anti-rabies vaccine, internally or externally deworming.

Pets will be transferred in an adequate container (cage), that will be placed under the seat in front of the passengers and it will be accepted only one animal (dog or cat) per passenger up to a maximum of four (4) each flight, one in Club Economy and three in Tourist Class)

Guide dogs, as usual, can travel at the feet of the passenger.

Thus, Aerolíneas Argentinas grants, another service to its passengers in order to let them travel without being separated of their pets.
Important: The Service of Transportation of Pets on cabin (PETC) will accept “broad-headed” breeds of cats and dogs for their transportation.

  • General regulation as regards transportation of pets

With respect to the transportation of pets on cabin, please see item "Transportation of pets on cabin".
The transfer of pets (dogs and cats) shall be permitted as accompanied baggage in narrow-body aircrafts (Embraer 190) and will be subject to the weather conditions at the moment of boarding.

Guide dogs are considered a special case that will be able to travel on cabin, without any charge, as a companion of a passenger that, due his /her visual disability visual, or his/her deafness, depends on it. The animal will have to be equipped with an appropriate muzzle as well as a harness and will not be permitted to occupy a seat.
The transportation of pets, whether domestic or wild animals,  demands a series of managements related to the necessary documentation, its conditioning for the trip and the requirements for the entrance to the destination where it is travelling.
Taking into account the variety of regulations and the strict fulfillment of the schedules and rules and time limits (particularly the international ones), we suggest to start the proceedings some reasonable time in advance.
Those passengers that wish to travel with their pets will have to dispatch them as accompanied baggage, subject to availability in the hold and to the conditions that are described in this section. We remind you that the booking of the place in the hold will have to be made forty-eight (48) hours in advance before the departure of the flight. Due to the difference as regards the conditions of the holds of the aircrafts, to transport an animal in safety conditions, we inform you that the booking for the transportation of pets has a conditional character. The booking does not assure the passenger that his/her pet will travel in the same flight; if so, the passenger will be responsible of it, not the airline.
In case the pet travels alone (without the passenger, as non-accompanied baggage), it will have to be dispatched as cargo, complying with the same conditions, but through the CARGO section.

    Important Information
From March, 1st, 2014 onwards, the transportation of “broad-headed” breeds of cats and dogs will NOT be accepted as accompanied baggage, commonly called 'flat-nose ' dogs and cats), both in domestic and regional and international flights, in narrow-body and wide-body aircrafts.
