June 3, 2020 – Aerolíneas Argentinas has announced two new special flights from Havana and Auckland.

The first of these flights will depart from Havana on June 6 and will make a stopover in Punta Cana to pick up more stranded Argentine citizens. This flight will arrive at Ezeiza International Airport on June 7 in the morning.

On the other hand, the flight from Auckland will depart on June 6 and arrive in Argentina on June 7 at 11.15 a.m.

Both flights will be operated with Airbus 330-200 aircraft with seating capacity for 243 passengers each.

Said flights entail the return of the Argentine flag carrier to Cuba and New Zealand, and are in addition to the flights to Quito, London and Barcelona, which are destinations that the Company has operated during the world pandemic but that have not been operated as scheduled flights for many years.

“We continue working to bring Argentine citizens back to the country, even from destinations not operated by the company on a regular basis, which demands great operational efforts in a complex scenario. The operation of these flights is possible thanks to the strong commitment shown by our staff during this crisis,” explained Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

A new special flight from Miami will arrive today and another flight will arrive next Friday.

In the aggregate, 93 international special flights have been scheduled by Aerolíneas Argentinas since March 18, when regular operations were suspended. In these flights, the company has brought 25,000 Argentine citizens back home.
