New Special Flights: São Paulo, Santiago de Chile and Miami

May 18, 2020 – Aerolíneas Argentinas has confirmed 5 new special flights from Miami, São Paulo and Santiago de Chile.

A new flight will be operated between Buenos Aires and São Paulo on May 22. This flight will be operated with an Airbus 330-200 with seating capacity for more than 250 passengers, unlike scheduled flights to Brazil which are operated with single-aisle aircraft. This flight is authorized to carry Brazilian citizens on its outbound segment.

The flight to Santiago de Chile will be operated on May 26 with a Boeing 737-800 with 170 seats. This flight is also authorized to carry Chilean citizens on its outbound segment.

The flights to Miami will depart from Ezeiza International Airport on May 31 and June 2 and 4, and they will return on the following respective day, each of them carrying 250 stranded Argentine citizens.

“We continue working to bring Argentine passengers back to the country, which is possible thanks to the strong commitment shown by maintenance, flight, check-in, handling, call-center and customer service staff. They are giving this operation their all,” stated Pablo Ceriani, President of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

A new flight from Cancun will arrive today at 7.10 p.m. carrying another 250 stranded Argentine passengers, while the 11th flight from Shanghai scheduled by the Company with the purpose of bringing medical supplies to fight the COVID-19 has arrived today at 12.10 p.m.

In the aggregate, 87 special flights have been scheduled by Aerolíneas Argentinas since March 18, when regular international operations were suspended. In these flights, the Company has brought around 23,000 Argentine citizens back home.

The company has requested all of its passengers to comply with the health protocols in place and to wear a mandatory surgical mask or a face mask at all times upon arrival at the airport.
