As a result of this agreement, Aerolíneas Argentinas will include its (AR) code on EL AL flights between Ben Gurion International Airport and Madrid and Barcelona airports, to connect with Aerolíneas transatlantic flights to Buenos Aires. Reciprocally, EL AL will include its (LY) code on Aerolineas Argentinas flights from Buenos Aires, both to Madrid and Barcelona, connecting with flights operated by EL AL to Tel Aviv. Additionally, both airlines will expand the agreement in the coming months by including their flights to Rome, New York and Miami.

Mario Dell'Acqua, President of the Aerolíneas Group, said: "We are very proud to implement this long-awaited agreement with EL AL, which will offer our passengers one of the best options on the market to travel to Israel. It also opens the doors to Israeli passengers to get to know the varied and attractive tourist destinations that Argentina offers, connecting with our growing domestic network.

His EL AL counterpart commented: "This historic agreement is important for both airlines as it will intensify the flow of passengers between the two countries. We expect it to result in significant growth for both tourism and business passengers between Israel and Argentina. With this new and varied offer, our customers will see great benefits".

Passengers from both airlines will travel with just one ticket, a single boarding pass for the entire journey, check-in at the airport of origin to the final destination and easy connection with the entire network of both airlines.
