Aerolineas Argentinas and the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation sign an agreement to stimulate tourist development

Under the agreement, both parties intend to join efforts in order to enhance actions aimed to promote and sow awareness about the value and importance of tourist activity in the country.

Buenos Aires, June 21, 2017. - The Ministry of Tourism of the Nation and Aerolineas Argentinas signed a framework agreement aiming to establish a relationship of mutual cooperation for the diffusion and promotion of tourist activity in our country, with focus on domestic tourism.

By this agreement, the parties seek to establish a permanent channel of communication to provide mutual cooperation and collaboration, while actions will be implemented through specific agreements that will define the scope, details and resources necessary for its implementation.

The agreement was signed by Gustavo Santos, Minister of Tourism of the Nation; Diego Garcia and Juan Ignacio Uribe, both directors of the Aerolíneas Group.

"As a state policy, tourism is a strategic sector for the economic and social development of the country, so the importance of this agreement transcends the specific interest of the signatories," said Minister Gustavo Santos.

For his part, Diego Garcia, Aerolíneas Commercial Director said: "Both the Ministry and Aerolíneas we conceive tourism and air transport as essential tools for the building of a connected and integrated country. The signing of this agreement is part of this common pursuit, thus contributing to a continuous improvement of the tourism sector and boosting of regional economies”.

The term of the framework cooperation agreement will be two years, extendable for another two years by agreement signed by the parties.
