Aerolineas Argentinas received a new Boeing 737-800

 It is part of a plan to renew the fleet, which has been honored improving the financing conditions. Among other benefits such as comfort and greater cabin space, the incorporation of new and modern aircraft allows Aerolíneas Argentinas to maintain high rates of punctuality in its operations, which today position it as a leader in the domestic market.

Aerolineas Argentinas incorporated a new B-737-800 aircraft, which arrived directly from the Boeing factory in Seattle, USA.

The new aircraft, registered LV-GKS, is the second aircraft that is delivered according to the purchase agreement with AVOLON. A third aircraft is expected to arrive in the third week of December.

In this way, the B-737-800 fleet has 25 aircraft, which together with 15 B-737-700 NG, and 26 Austral’s Embraer E-190 totalize 66 narrow-body aircraft for domestic and regional flights. In total, including wide-body aircraft, the company has now a fleet of 81 aircraft.

The renewal and expansion of this short- and medium-range fleet has allowed Aerolíneas Argentinas and Austral to have now a punctuality index in their operations that exceeds 90 percent efficiency, well above the expected targets. Nowadays the Aerolíneas Group has the leadership in punctuality in the domestic market and maintained this position with improvements throughout 2016.

B-737-800 aircraft, according to Aerolineas specifications, are configured with 170 seats, 8 in Club Economy and 162 in Economy class.
