Aerolíneas announces commercial changes to improve connectivity in the country and the world

It increases domestic frequencies enhancing its hub of connections in Ezeiza, and deepening the concept of focus city in Cordoba and Rosario, to connect the north with the south without passing through Buenos Aires.

Aerolineas Argentinas today announced a series of changes in its domestic, regional and international network, which will improve connectivity, adding direct frequencies between cities without having to pass through Buenos Aires, and expanding the offer of flights for the winter season.

Among the announcements, from July onwards, Aerolíneas will offer 18% more seats on domestic flights as part of an aggressive plan to increase the connectivity in the country.

"We will offer the best connectivity in the country promoting tourism and improving the experience of tourists both from Argentina as for those from abroad, adding new routes to the domestic network and with the best international and regional non-stop offer to major cities in the world", said Diego Garcia, Aerolíneas Argentinas’ Commercial Area Manager.

"The commitment is to boost the Ezeiza hub and develop the focus city concept in Cordoba and Rosario, to better connect the country without having to pass through the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires", the executive added.

Regarding the new domestic network, the announced changes will involve a greater number of flights directly from the provinces to Ezeiza Airport, as is the case of Salta, allowing a better connection of that province with the international offer of Aerolíneas. The amount of direct flights to link the north and the south of the country, will also be increased with four new flights on the Córdoba-Ushuaia segment and adding new flights between cities, such as Rosario-Mendoza and Córdoba-Jujuy, that is, flights within the country without passing through Buenos Aires, which will result in time savings for our passengers.

As for the winter offer, Aerolíneas will offer in total 131 weekly flights to Bariloche from Buenos Aires, --102% more frequencies than in low season--; 12 weekly flights to Chapelco - a 149% more than in low season and 44 more frequencies to Ushuaia.

 

AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS ANNOUNCEMENTS IN DETAIL

The most prominent changes include:

• 1 new daily flight between Ezeiza and Salta: allowing a better connection with the international offer of AR.

• 4 new weekly flights between Cordoba and Ushuaia, as part of a new route connecting the center of the country with the southernmost point. These frequencies, connecting with flights from Cordoba to Salta will allow passengers to get from the southernmost point to the Salta capital in just over six hours without passing through Buenos Aires.

• The reinstallation of the route Comodoro Rivadavia- Rio Gallegos through a triangulation via Aeroparque, 3 times a week. This decision results in an increase in frequencies to the province of Santa Cruz, in addition to the 3 daily frequencies to Rio Gallegos, and 6 daily frequencies to Comodoro Rivadavia.

• The opening of 3 weekly frequencies between Salta and Rosario, as part of a point-to-point route.

• Increase if frequencies on the following sections

        +1 Cordoba-Salta, offering 6 weekly frequencies;

        +1 Cordoba Jujuy, offering 5 weekly frequencies;

        +2 Salta-Mendoza, offering 5 weekly frequencies;

        +3 Rosario Mendoza, offering 5 weekly frequencies;

        +1 Aeroparque-Esquel, offering 7 weekly frequencies.

As for the winter offer, Aerolíneas will offer in total 131 weekly flights to Bariloche --(102% more frequencies than in low season)--; 12 weekly flights to Chapelco - (149% more than in low season) and 44 frequencies to Ushuaia adding 29% more flights than in low season.
