Aerolineas Argentinas increases its operation to the summer destinations

With more connections, new schedules, more frequencies and change of aircraft; the new flight network focuses on connecting, between December and March, the most requested summer destinations with the most important cities in the country and in the region

Buenos Aires, November 9, 2016 - With the intention of generating greater connectivity during the extended summer season, Aerolíneas Argentinas announced today a series of innovations in its operation that increases seating capacity by 10% to the destinations most requested by travelers during the summer season.

These changes seek to offer a better travel experience by the hand of fleet renewal. The ongoing replacement of 737-700 aircraft with 737-800 aircraft is a key factor in offering a more modern and competitive product, with more seats, more space and at the same time taking care of the finances of the company as they are more efficient aircraft.

"A larger and more efficient fleet of aircraft allows us to offer an improved experience for passengers during peak traffic months", commented Diego García, Manager of the Aerolíneas Group’s Commercial Area.

Some noteworthy data are detailed below:

· Mendoza: The operation is resumed after the reopening of the airport, increasing the seat offer by 5% compared to 2016. In addition to resuming their flights by connecting the interior as part of the northern, oil corridor, Mendoza will be directly connected with Mar del Plata since December and with Florianopolis since January.

· Bariloche continues with its current frequency of flights but offers the option of connecting with Córdoba and Rosario directly in both directions.

· Mar del Plata will operate 25 weekly flights with Buenos Aires, doubling the offer for the high season and also adds direct flights with Mendoza and Rosario 3 times a week, with Tucumán 5 and offers a daily flight to Cordoba.

· Iguazú adds 22% more seats offered. The company bets on the destination while maintaining the direct Córdoba - Iguazú flight that since October operates this route with 5 weekly frequencies in both directions.

· Salta will operate during summer with an increase of 20% in its seat offer compared to the previous summer.

· Tucumán will register a small increase in the route from Buenos Aires to the capital of the province with respect to last summer, with a bet for the summer season with its 5 weekly frequencies to Mar del Plata.

· El Calafate will record an increase of 9% in the offer for Buenos Aires this summer and continues to connect through its wide direct offer to the interior with its 6 weekly flights with Cordoba and Rosario, with one daily flight to Bariloche and double daily to Ushuaia.

· Esquel goes on to be operated in the summer with Boeing NG aircraft instead of the current Embraer aircraft, allowing the company to offer a 30% increase in seats compared to the previous summer.

· Jujuy: during the first quarter of 2017, it will increase its offer of flights to, from Buenos Aires by 6% compared to the same period of the previous year and continues to connect Cordoba 4 times a week.

· San Martín de los Andes: on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) will have two flights instead of one, increasing the offer by 20% compared to last summer.

· Córdoba is consolidated as a focus city, with a strong increase in connectivity with other provinces as well as with the region.

o         6 weekly flights with Calafate and Rosario

o         Daily flight with Bariloche and Rosario

o         5 weekly flights with Iguazú

o         4 weekly flights with Jujuy

o         4 weekly flights connecting north and south, Salta and Ushuaia via Córdoba

o         3 weekly flights with Tucumán

o         3 weekly flights with Resistencia

o         1 daily flight with Mendoza

o         It operates daily the oil corridor (Córdoba, Mendoza, Neuquén, Comodoro Rivadavia and return)

o         One daily Ezeiza-Rosario-Córdoba flight to connect with Aerolíneas Argentinas flights to Miami and the Caribbean.

o         And a special offer is added for the summer with 1 daily flight to Mar del Plata, 3 weekly flights to Punta del Este, 2 weekly flights to Florianópolis, 2 to Rio de Janeiro, 1 to Salvador de Bahia and 1 to Porto Seguro.

This new flight network is aligned with the company's commercial strategy implemented during 2016, which was focused on improving connectivity, with a greater number of flights without passing through Buenos Aires and offering commercial alternatives with discounts and purchase options highly valued by the passengers.

Finally, thanks to the use of the new fleet -more modern and efficient-, not only a better travel experience for passengers was achieved but also maintain historical records of punctuality throughout 2016.
