Aerolineas Argentinas opened the first training center for cabin crew in the country and the most modern in the region

This center for the comprehensive crew training aims to improve the travel experience of passengers, and position CEFEPRA as a model training center worldwide

Aerolineas Argentinas has opened today with the presence of Isela Costantini, president of the Aerolíneas Group, its own crew training center (Mock-Up) located at the CEFEPRA building (Center for Education and Training for Pilots of the Argentine Republic) at the Ezeiza International Airport. It is a full size mock-up made up of parts from an airplane and functions as a training center worldwide for its unique characteristics among the few in the region.

  The work was done over a period of 6 months. It has an area of almost 1,000 square meters and is planned as training platform for 5,000 Group’s members including pilots, cabin crew and traffic staff.

  "We are excited to open this center and provide the opportunity for our people to train and improve the service to passengers, according to the highest industry standards", said Isela Costantini, president of the Aerolíneas Group. "To grow we need to be chosen and recognized for our service: this center will certainly make a significant contribution to consolidate our leadership", added the executive.

  The purpose of the center is the training of crew members in relation to operational safety and ongoing improvement of service quality for passengers. The Mock-Up allows the simulation of procedures that can occur in flight, both as regards emergencies and evacuations as well as the simulation of routine procedures related to on-board service. The center is also prepared to simulate the joint work on the ground with the Airport Security Police, Customs Police and Migration personnel, such as in the detection of women and children trafficking, drug trafficking, identification of disruptive passengers, contraband, etc.).

  This Mock-up, together with flight simulators and training classrooms, makes up a comprehensive project that includes training requirements of sectors such as

Cabin crews, Technique and Ground Staff. The areas on which training will focus are safety, emergency, fire evacuations; Services (Club Condor - Club Economy - Economy): Crews’ presence; check-in and boarding procedures and at airports.
