| PASSENGERS REQUIRING OXYGEN |
Aerolineas Argentinas offers facilities for people who due to medical conditions require oxygen to travel under the following conditions and procedures. |
General Conditions |
This service is not available for flights between Madrid - Paris - Madrid and Madrid - London - Madrid, y en vuelos operados por AUSTRAL. |
The provision of Oxygen is free and is available on Aerolineas Argentinas flights in a restricted manner. |
This service may only be provided by the Company. For safety reasons, Aerolineas Argentinas does not allow the use of any other oxygen cylinders except their own. |
The provision will only be a flow of 2 or 4 liters per minute and has to be advised if required as a precaution or continuous. |
In the case that a passenger travels with his/her own shoulder bag, the cylinders must be empty and stowed in the hold of the aircraft. |
Therefore, we remind you that the coordination and organization for oxygen will be entirely the responsibility of the passenger and doctor under their care for all previous, intermediate and latter stages of the flight and for the required transportation. |
To be able to complete the trip in a safe way when organizing the request, it is advisable to take into account incidents or unforeseen situations like delays, alternative stops due to meteorological conditions or technical and operational restrictions. |
The passenger must travel with a carer certified in the administration of oxygen(Doctor, Nurse, paramedic or Person who is previously certified in the administration of oxygen). |
Any type of medical equipment which may need electricity on board the aircraft is not permitted. |
Lastly, we advise that a private Doctor's certificate which backs the fitness to travel does not mean that the passenger will be allowed to travel, travel is exclusively and only after the company's medical special handling unit gives its authority to uplift the passenger. |
