To enroll in the Aerolineas Plus Frequent Flyer Program, complete the form below and accept General Program conditions before clicking SEND.
1.1 ACCOUNT HOLDERS.
Account holders (AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS members) can only be natural persons who have filled in and forwarded the enrollment application form, and once accepted, have received their membership number (which is the same as the account number).
It is a single-member account, therefore it recognizes a single owner.
It will be each member’s responsibility to acknowledge this Terms and Conditions of Use and any subsequent updates that will be published in Aerolineas Argentinas Website (aerolineas.com.ar).
In case of underage account holders, its’ administration will be on their parents’ or legal tutor’s behalf.
The spouse, relatives in ascending and descending line in first degree of consanguinity and brothers, which have been appointed by the holder, may be considered as such. The mentioned appointment shall be made in written when enrolling to the Program or by later communication.
In case of underage members, the accrued miles can be used by the minor him/herself or by his/her immediate relatives who should be included within the previously established relationship for beneficiaries and can only be appointed and authorized by the minor’s both relatives or legal tutors that manage the account.
It is considered a companion a person with no need of family bond who travels with the holder with a reward ticket transferred by himself, in the same flights and whose booking and ticketing is carried out jointly with the holder’s. For these purposes, only one flight companion is admitted.
Holder’s booking cancellation will automatically cancel the companion’s one, and only if the ticket allows refunds, it will be possible to request it.
The objective of the AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS Program is a permanent promotion based on the accrual of miles by the holder (according to the conditions and procedures detailed in point 5), that can be redeemed for air tickets of the program participating airlines or by services that associated companies could grant (under the conditions and procedures detailed in point 6)
The AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS card is the operational tool of the Program, which identifies the holder and gives him/her the right to participate in it. It has the name and surname of the holder as well as the account number emblazoned.
After registering and becoming a member, the customer will be provided with an 8 (eight) digit identification or account number.
As an identification proof, the member can print a virtual card with his name and account number on it, through aerolineas.com Website / My Plus Account.
For Elite: Platinum or Gold members, a personalized plastic card with an expiration date will be issued. Additionally it will be renewed according to the miles accrued within a determined period of time.
The member can request a provisional card at any AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS office.
3.2 VALIDITY - HOLDERSHIP - OWNERSHIP.
The card is personal, non-transferable and has no expiration, except the GOLD, PLATINUM or special segmentation card, which have an expiration date stamped on them; they will be renewed according to the miles accrued within the immediate annual expired period.
The card is the property of AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A., the Cardholder being its depositary and responsible for preserving and using it, in accordance with what is laid out in these Terms and Conditions.
3.3 If by chance your AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS card is lost, stolen or in need of being replaced, the card holder shall inform this situation by letter or email at the addresses mentioned at the end of these Terms and Conditions, and request a new card. Cardholder will not be held responsible for any fraud or misuse that could have occurred before reporting it missing.
AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS may charge a service fee for card replacement.
The Program is applicable in all places where Aerolineas Argentinas’ and any participating airlines’ flights operate.
5- EARNING AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS miles
5.1 EARNING AIR MILES CONDITIONS.
AEROLINEAS PLUS miles are earned by taking flights on any of the partner airlines’ and only by the holder. Only those flights and services provided by participating companies and used since the date the account has been opened, may accrue miles
5.2 MILES ACCRUAL TABLE.
The number of miles earned per flight will be obtained from:
a) Basic table of miles accrual, applicable at the date of each flight to be computed, built from the origin/destination of the flights made and the class in which they are ticketed. AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. reserves the right to modify these tables informing the new conditions of miles accrual and its effective date through Internet, in-flight magazine, telephonically at a customer’s request and/or with the printed tables which are at provided in Aerolineas Argentinas S.A offices.
b) Specific promotions in determined routes and periods to be arranged by AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. and/or other participant companies in the Program.
AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS reserves the right to offer bonus miles and promotional offers in a selective manner to specific members at any time, according to the number of trips, geographic location, their participation in the Program, or other factors.
5.3 DO NOT grant Miles
Free tickets or tickets with a discount, such as charters, special tourism industry, governmental and other special fares which could be available.
AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. reserves the right to limit, or deny miles accrual in specific days, routes, dates, periods and fares.
AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS is not liable for associated companies leaving the Program, for the cancellation of reward tickets caused by such withdrawal, nor for the deprogramming of an Aerolineas Argentinas or an associated company’s service. Associated companies are free to modify at their discretion the amount of miles earned per flight, or to impose other restrictions on miles accrual or reward tickets. Information regarding this, will be published sufficiently far ahead on the Website.
In order to accrue miles, passengers need to inform their AEROLINEAS AERGENTINAS PLUS membership number when requesting a booking in Aerolineas Argentinas and they will also need to show their membership card when check-in at each airport before their flight. If required, a personal ID will need to be shown, in order to confirm identity (Passport, National ID, Identification Card, etc).
Miles will be accrued in the account after taking the flight.
Nevertheless, each member is responsible of controlling that their miles are properly credited, for which the will be able to verify it by phone, e-mail or by checking their balance on our Website.
Whenever a member argues that miles have not been accrued for a used service or in those cases that AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS considers that a verification is necessary, members will have to present the original ticket and boarding pass which proves and makes possible such accrual.
The holder will have to keep each original boarding pass which conforms the necessary documentation to file a claim in case of differences in miles accrual. For this purpose, members will have to forward the original documents by mail to: Rivadavia 578, CP C1002AAP, Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS is not liable for the loss of the documents, in which case, the holder will have to send a new copy of the documents.
AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. will not accrue miles in cases in which more than six (6) months have passed from the flight date.
5.5 NON-AIR MILES ACCRUAL CONDITIONS.
Miles can be also obtained by services granted by participating companies and used after the account has been opened.
Miles will be accrued in the account once partner companied forward the necessary information.
In order to obtain miles for the service, members will have to show their AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS card when hiring the service, and if required, an ID to verify its identity (Passport, National ID, Identity Card, etc.).
Members shall keep the original copy of the car rental contract, hotel bill or any receipt provided by the partner company which will make up the necessary documentation to file a claim in the event of discrepancies in miles accrual.
In case of non-air services provided by partner companies, the term for filing a claim is 3 months from the date the service has been received.
Partner companies can, by their own decision, modify the amount of miles that are obtained for their services or apply restrictions in the obtaining process.
5.6 OMMISSION OF PRESENTING THE CARD.
In case of not complying with the obligation of presenting the AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS card, no miles shall be accrued for the flights or services.
Earned miles can be exchanged for tickets belonging to airlines which participate in the Program or by services granted by partner companies which allow mileage redemption on the dates needed.
Redemption must be in line with the following:
6.1 AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS MILES’ REDEMPTION CONDITIONS.
Trips with mileage redemption shall: for reward tickets in Promotional class, be round trip, point to point, with stopovers, connections nor open jaw’s permitted, being both legs on the same class. Reward tickets are NON ENDORSABLE, even in cases in which the flight is cancelled by the Company.
Reward tickets can be booked though the Website, Call Center or directly at any of the AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS offices, indicating that it is an AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS mileage redemption booking.
Mile redemption for an AEROLÍNEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS reward ticket booked through the previously mentioned means, are subject to a service fee (Aerolineas Plus Fee) for each ticket issued. In every case, this fee is additional to air taxes and fees for each ticket, destination and class in which they have been redeemed. This fee is published in www.aerolineas.com .
Only AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. authorized offices can issue this reward tickets.
The existence of enough miles in the account balance is a necessary condition in order to obtain reward tickets, according to the miles usage chart applicable at the time of booking, and the availability of seats in the corresponding special class according to the requested flight and cabin. AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. establishes the quota and extension for reward tickets according to the season, route and/or class.
Bookings must be confirmed on all sectors when ticketing.
The Program reserves the right to offer special promotions, making special mileage classes for reward tickets available for members in which rerouting, cancelations, mileage refund or other special conditions that will be specified in the corresponding table and in the ticket issued, may be applicable.
AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS is entitled to change, cancel or limit the structure of the rewards with previous notice. It will also be entitled to increase the amount miles necessary for a reward. Reward trips will only be valid to destinations served both when ticketing the reward and at departure; and AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. and partner companies are not liable for travel disruptions.
AEROLINEAS PLUS is entitled to establish closure periods for reward tickets.
Lost or stolen reward tickets are subject to the same rules as regular purchased tickets and may be subject to the application of monetary charges which are established for those cases.
Whenever a car-rental or hotel partnership which provide services in exchange of mileage is chosen, the corresponding reservation shall be made in advance with that partner, and a document that only AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. offices can issue, must be obtained. This document together with the AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS card shall be presented when receiving the car or upon being admitted at the hotel.
6.2 MILEAGE SPENDING TABLE.
The necessary amount of miles needed to obtain a specific ticket will be obtained from:
a) A basic mileage spending table, built according to the origin/destination of flights. AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. reserves the right to modify this tables, informing the new conditions for spending miles and its effective date though the Website, the in-flight magazine, by phone upon a customer’s request, and/or with the printed tables with the printed tables which are at provided in Aerolineas Argentinas S.A offices.
b) Specific promotional offers in determined routes and dates to be arranged by AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. and/or other Program’s partner companies.
6.3 MILEAGE REDEMPTION PROCEDURE.
Only the account holder can dispose of miles available in the account, for its own use, its’ beneficiaries or companion, according to what is described in point 1.
The reward ticketing request can be made by the account holder or an authorized third party, who shall carry a written authorization, the corresponding card and a copy of the holder’s ID.
a) REWARD BOOKING REQUEST
The holder must request the booking at least 48 working hours in advance before flight departure, subject to availability and stating that it is an AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS mileage redemption booking, through the Call Center, AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A offices or through aerolineas.com .
b) REWARD BOOKING TICKETING
The account holder must present the AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS card and proof of identification with a valid ID Card when requesting the reward ticket.
In case of a third party, he/she must present a written authorization, ID Card, the AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS Plus card and a copy of the holder’s ID.
The ticket will be given with a previous mileage withdrawal, Service Fee (Aerolineas Plus Fee) payment and the signature of a document describing the transaction which took place. AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. offices and the Website are the only means authorized for issuance of reward tickets. When checking-in at the airport with reward tickets, the holder, beneficiary or companion must provide proof of their identity by means of a National ID, ID Card or Passport.
The Service Fee (Aerolineas Plus Fee), departure, migration or security taxes as well as any other charges established by airports, countries or airlines that might be applicable to reward tickets are on the member’s behalf and shall be paid when issuing the ticket, except for those that are collected at the airport or departing country.
Rewards will not be granted to members that at the moment of their request have any debt or lawsuit registered against Aerolineas Argentinas S.A.
AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS members will be able to redeem their miles exclusively on AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS flights and the Program’s partner airlines.
In the event of flight disruption the reward ticket is non-endorsable toward other carriers, according to what has been established on the General Conditions of Carriage, Resolutions 1532/96, annex 1, article 12, sub-paragraph (b).
However, AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS will make upmost efforts to relocate passengers on the next flight with the same routing and destination as stated on the reward ticket.
In case of not using the reward ticket, the member will be able to opt for a full refund (partial refunds are not allowed), provided it is requested before the departure of the first flight, or may request a booking cancelation thus keeping the ticket which must be used within 1 year of the ticketing date, always subject to original restrictions and changes it the mileage tables.
For refunds, members must present the unused ticket at a Service Center or in any AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. office entitled to deal with the Program. Once the refund is processed, miles will be accrued back to the account. When a refund or reissue of a reward ticket is requested, Service Fees (Aerolineas Plus Fee) will not be refunded.
Since November 1st 2008, if for any reason a member requests a refund, reissue or rerouting of a reward ticket, a Service Fee equal to the aforementioned Aerolineas Plus Fee shall be included.
Reward tickets with restrictions (on Promotional Classes) do not allow changes or refunds once ticketed.
AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. will periodically send the holder An account statement, which includes information about transactions as well as the miles earned and used. This statement will be sent only when a mileage movement has been registered in the account and will only be sent by e-mail to the address dully registered under their account through aerolineas.com .
Account balance can also be checked online with the holder’s personal password at aerolineas.com/My Plus Account.
After a period of 3 years with no air-mileage earned or spent on the account, the accrued miles will automatically expire. It is understood by 'air-mileage' the issuance of a reward ticket and the accrual of miles as a consequence of the usage of regular purchased tickets in valid fares. Therefore, after the mentioned period without registering air-mileage transactions, the account will automatically have a zero balance.
Mileage transference is not allowed among accounts of different holders.
The miles obtained in the Program ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE NOR NEGOTIABLE IN ANY CASE. The failure in fulfilling this condition entitles AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. to cancel the account, disabling of the card, and shall incur the relevant liabilities.
In case of death of the holder, the account balance will automatically expire
The holder will be able to end its participation in the Program at any time by sending a written notification together with the corresponding card cut in half to the AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS Service Center. In case of a remaining balance which is less than the minimum amount required for a reward ticket, it will not be possible to use it. Information relevant to the holder and its account will be disposed of in the next 6 months.
AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS is entitled to cancel an account and annul the accrued mileage, due to inappropriate of fraudulent mileage usage or spending by the holder or a third party and utterly inhibit future participation in the Program and demand the relevant liabilities.
Similar actions can AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. take in case of any unlawful or improper conduct onboard any company’s flights, for example not following flight crew or Commander instructions, being disrespectful or annoying a flight crew member or other passengers or in case of any other improper behavior on board, as well as at any airport, premises or facilities that belong to the company. Hence, the Program’s membership is subject to compliance with the AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS’ terms and conditions, and the strict adherence to the Company’s rules and regulations on board and at all the Company’s keeping places.
AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. reserves the right to modify the present 'General Conditions of Use'.
The AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS Program may be canceled at any time by AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. with six month notice in which members with enough accrued mileage may request reward tickets. After that, the right to make use of them will expire.
AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS S.A. is not liable for impossibilities or restrains in the normal development of the AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS PLUS Program, whenever this is due to legal enforcements or force majeure causes.
This General Conditions of Use shall be governed, implemented, fulfilled and executed according to argentine laws and rules.
Any dispute arisen among parties in reference to this contract, its’ existence, validity qualification, interpretation, scope, fulfillment or resolution will be solved definitively by the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange’s General Arbitration Court, in accordance to the regulations in force for the arbitration of law that both parties acknowledge and accept.
